Bike Saviours and Tempe Bicycle Action Group are gearing up for the 2012 TBAG-BS Winter Games at Clark Park on Sunday, February 26th.
Since the event is on a Sunday, most of our lovely volunteers will be having fun at the games for some much needed R&R, so we will only be open from 3pm-6pm that day.
However, if you know what’s good for you, you’ll skip shop hours that day and head down to the park, which is located off Roosevelt and 19th Street in Tempe.
The day kicks off with a bike/gear swap meet and breakfast at the ever bike-friendly Boulders on Broadway. After that, there will be huffy tossing, princess bike death races, tall & small bike jousting, and bike polo in the park. Our Colorado brewing buddies, New Belgium, are even sponsoring the event so there will be beer specials!

In an effort to grow with the demands of our community here in Tempe, the collective members of Bike Saviours have decided to open up the Women’s Workshop to everyone. However, we will still be staffing the night with only women volunteers to help foster the same environment of equality and respect that the night has held since its creation over 4 years ago. Beginning in December, the Women’s Workshop will change to it’s new format:
Open to EVERYONE
2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 6p-9p
Women-staffed shop hours.

In other news, we will be closed this Thursday, November 10 for a much needed bylaws amending meeting. We are also now open Tuesdays from 6p-9p.
